Kristy Baldwin

Controller

Kristy joins APN Group with over 7 years of accounting and Controller experience. She has extensive knowledge in reconciliations, AP, AR financial reporting and accounting software utilization. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Kristy has held Controller positions in Emerald Isle, NC and Jacksonville, NC. Kristy holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland along with a Professional Aeronautics degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition to her accounting career, Kristy is a Marine Corp veteran spending 5 years working on F/A-18’s and 18 years as a military spouse.

Q: Where Is Your Hometown And What Do You Love About It?

I am from Anderson, SC. My favorite thing about my hometown is my family and friends. I love returning home and seeing people I grew up with and knowing that no matter how much we have changed as adults, we have a connection because we were friends during our formative years. If you can’t tell, I take my friendships to heart.

 

Q: What Is Your Idea Of A Perfect Saturday And Why?

My perfect Saturday would include sleeping in and mid-day relaxing with a margarita in my hammock with my family while we watch nature at work in our backyard.  My yard is my oasis, and sometimes unwinding and relaxing while watching nature’s creatures fly and scamper through my backyard is what I need to wash away the busy week before.  A good book in my hammock also works.  🙂

 

Q: What inspires you?

Creativity and positivity inspire me.  Have you ever met someone so optimistic that their excitement about something ignites a fire in your will?  I was always a pessimistic person, but once I found the light in being positive, I couldn’t get enough positivity.  I love working with people who love to create and make others feel loved simply because their soul shines a light with positivity.  It makes me want to continue looking for the good in all things, even when it’s most difficult.
